Still being sick at 13 weeks

I’ve had a pretty “sickly” pregnancy so far; I don’t get “morning” sickness at a particular time it seems to just pick and choose and I’m not sick every day (probably every two days) but the days I am sick, I am violently sick. Then it appears to go away and comes back with a vengeance! Now I’m in my second trimester I thought it would calm down and hope it does but I’m 13+3 today and it shows no signs of disappearing. Anyone else the same?

I was really sick yesterday and today again and I’m 13 weeks + 4. Yuck!

I'm 32+5 and still being violently sick on a regular basis and have done throughout my whole pregnancy.

Hoppinggreen · 15/04/2018 15:35

Sorry but I upchucked with dd most days, including during labour

LaurieMarlow · 15/04/2018 15:36

Almost 35 weeks, still being sick. Heartburn doesn't help either.

Sometimes it doesn't go away.

Thank you all! At least I can mentally prepare myself from your comments. Every pregnancy app I have/ use says “morning” sickness should dissipate after 12 weeks. I was getting excited!

My sickness stopped at 16 weeks. It was suddenly gone and I felt amazing! It was easier having a newborn and a toddler than looking after a toddler and feeling queasy all the time!

BunnyTeapot · 15/04/2018 15:51

Generally it disappears between 12 and 16 weeks however for some people like me (32+5) you get it all the way through until you give birth.

Apparently it's a sign of a healthy pregnancy though as it's caused by the hormones so every cloud has a silver lining 🙂

Just for interest did any of you with persistent sickness take any vitamins? It could be a coincidence but I’m sure on the days I miss/forget to take pregnacare I feel loads better?

Sorry this made me smile. DC1 was in my arms and I was still 🤮

Waitingonasmiley42 · 15/04/2018 16:04

I was sick until baby arrived! Stopped vitamins about 30 weeks.

Hoppinggreen · 15/04/2018 16:28

My “morning” sickness didn’t disappear at noon either!!
Religiously took my vits

coastalchick · 15/04/2018 16:30

I had it until around 15.5 weeks (I’m 17+6 now) then it disappeared. Hopefully it will pass as know how awful it is. Hang in there x

zaalitje · 15/04/2018 16:36

Mine stopped around that point, came back for a few days around 17 weeks and resurfaced again around 28 weeks, it now (34 weeks) involves full on throwing up a couple times a week but dry retching a several times a day. First trimester was just nausea.

Manupprincess · 15/04/2018 17:45

Some iron supplements can cause nausea, if you are taking them with food and no caffeine you could try a different brand.
Or it could just be morning sickness 🤢Mine stopped as I went into labour but yours could end any day now. Fingers crossed.

24 weeks and still very sicky :-( preparing myself mentally for it to go on for the whole time :-(

BunnyTeapot · 16/04/2018 07:42

I take folic and vit d every day with my tea. I also take 1 - 2 iron sachets a day but it's no different whether I miss them or take them.
