Im 17 weeks today i was small anyway but i had a nice showable inbetween bump coming on and it looks smaller to me today.. Not just that i feel like somethings wrong maybe im anxious. Most people i know have had kicks and ive had nothing. 20 week scan seems such a long time for confirmation.. Has anyone else had this?

17 weeks is not too late to start feeling kicks, not at all. Re the bump, mine changed size at that stage dependent on many things. I honestly don’t think you have anything to worry about but if the 20 week scan is too long to wait for reassurance how about getting a private scan?

17 weeks would be super early to feel kicks with your first. I was 21 weeks, friends were 23/4 and 26 weeks (the latter being a quite petite lady too).
Both baby position and placental position can impact on when you feel movement. If you have an anterior placenta (at front) it cushions the movement, if baby is facing your back the same issue, I actually ended up getting checked for reduced movement when my bean turned to face my back.

The bump, could be due to bloat, gas, baby position.

Thanks for the reassurance im in such a worry this morning.. My two friends have had kicks and i still dont feel very pregnant ive had nosebleeds other than than that up until now my pregnancy has been fairly easy.. I keep looking at my bump thinking it looked smaller that was all! I will try to relax maybe it wont happen until later as it is my first i had 2 scans already and they were fine

It may look different due to the baby changing position or bloating that's gone away.

I didn't get kicks until around 25 weeks, doctor wasn't worried about it so I wasn't either.

Omg I had the exact same thought when I woke up this morning! I'm exactly 16 weeks! Last night I swear I looked huge and this morning I don't know where it's is! I've also lost a pound in the past week despite eating lots. But hey - apparently this is all normal Confused

I'm on pregnancy number three and didn't get definite small movements until 18 weeks. If it's your first pregnancy you could be waiting up to 20 odd weeks. Now at nearly 20 weeks I feel definite movements every day but only the odd actual kick.
