so i'm 11weeks today and had a reassurance scan all looks perfect nice size and strong heartbeat

however i'm still panic stricken that something is going to go wrong!

do the odds reduce or anything? do you get to 12weeks and all of a sudden feel excited??

I'm 16 weeks and terrified for my 20 week scan! I think the reassurance you get from any scan is brief - even my scan at 13 weeks I felt reassured for a few days then remembered that it's only a snapshot of thst moment! I hope I'll feel calmer when I start feeling it. I've just started feeling excited, but mainly because a growing bump makes it feel more real! Congrats btw:)

The fact you've seen a strong healthy heartbeat is a better reason to stop being worried that being 12 weeks pregnant.

The risk of miscarriage lowers so much when a heartbeat is present.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Unfortunately I think the anxiety comes and goes throughout or maybe is always there just sometimes more muted.

Excitement happened simultaneously for me and can often drown out the anxiety thankfully.

A nurse told me though that anxiety/stress about your children starts in pregnancy and never actually ends after they're born. Grin
