Nuchal translucency scan...

Hi everyone. I'm just over 10 weeks today and had an early scan during the week due to bleeding. Saw my midwife recently and she has told me I may not get my 12 week scan date letter for another 3 or so weeks. Slightly worried as this will make me 13+something when I get the letter and the scan will likely be booked for after 14 weeks. They don't do Nuchal Translucency testing after 14 weeks... is it normal to be over 10 weeks and still not know when my 12 week scan date is?

Worrying as I can't afford a private scan...

You need to ring the service directly and get yourself booked in for the correct date if you can. Speak to pals if that doesn’t work.

Someone I know was seen outside correct dates for one of their scans and (possibly partly as a result) a major annonoly was missed.

@Onceuponatimethen this is what I'm concerned about. I phoned them today and they seemed really unbothered about it. Said to talk to my midwife who's phone was turned off and is now on holiday. Might call EPAU tomorrow (or Monday if they aren't open on the weekend) for advice if I can't get it sorted...

Just ring the obstetric scan department? If they have had the referral already, they’ll be able to arrange your appointment there and then.

@Didntcomeheretofuckspiders they don't have the referral and my midwife is on leave so I have no idea if it has been sent or not.

Then you need to speak to pals on Monday and if that doesn’t work within the day ask to speak to a supervisor of midwifes in antenatal
