Pregnancy after tummy tuck & boob job

Hi,

I’m new to all this Confused
I’ve had a good look but can’t see a similar thread, hopefully someone can help me?

I had a tummy tuck and uplift and implants about 8 years ago after I had DD. I was single and was hell bent on staying that way but accidentally ended up falling in love and settling down again (with a decent human being this time)

Now I’m pregnant with twins and I’m wondering if I’m going to explode in an Alien type scenario or will my body keep stretching. My stretch marks are horrendous, some are an inch wide and my skin is so thin that I can see veins and what I’m assuming is tissue/muscle. Hence the tummy tuck.

Also, would it still be possible to breastfeed? I’m guessing not, google wasn’t much help.

I had a boob job the year before I got pregnant with #2 and I’m 37 weeks now. They are a lot bigger but I’m hoping they will go back to normal size afterwards! It may depend on the type of implants you have, I have round over the muscles and my surgeon told me it should still be possible to breast feed.

If they didn’t move your nipple during the operation then you should be ok to breastfeed.

Tummy tuck wise no advice other than a good massage oil is your new friend such as bio oil/ almond oil/ or a high end olive oil will all be really hydrating. X

Bio oil etc do absolutely nothing to prevent stretch marks.

OP I'd talk to your midwife about any concerns you have, they are far better placed to answer these types of questions.

Thanks everyone.

I’ll ask the midwife next time I see her. Just having a full on panic due to the speed I’m growing. Should be fine though.

Thanks again x

I just had a tummy tuck 6 weeks ago and although not i’m planning to ever get pregnant again I did ask my surgeon what would happen if I fall pregnant. He said he’s had a few patients get pregnant after a tummy tuck and that in his experience it would be absolutely fine in terms of the health of the baby and that most women stay tighter than they had in previous pregnancies but might need a revision of the TT down the line if the skin stretches out again. You won’t explode like in alien! Can you contact your surgeon from 8 years ago for a chat and some reassurance?

I think I’ll just wait til I’ve had the twins before I speak to my surgeon. He has a habit of making me feel fat and disgusting at the best of times, let alone when I’m hormonal Hmm

I’ll just attempt to save some money and book in for more repair work ASAP.
