6 wk scan- am I having a miscarriage?

I’ve had two previous miscarriages so I was offered a 6 week early scan.

I found out I was pregnant a week today (clear blue said I was 3wks +) and went for my scan this morning.

They didn’t find anything on the scan but said that something was in the womb lining. I’m going back for another in 10 days. Am I miscarrying again? Since my last period I am supposedly 6 wks 5 days.

I also took the pill for about 7 days midway through my cycle but accidentally left them at my mother’s so stopped. (Had my last miscarriage at 9 wks on 25th Jan so we were going to take a break from trying to recover).

I’m 20 years old and in good health (so far as I know). I’m heartbroken that I keep having miscarriages for no supposed reason.

Sometimes on those early scans it’s very hard to see anything. They normal ask you to come back to check.
If you were taking the pill then maybe the day you ovulated might not be the date you think it was. Did they take any blood from you to test hcg levels? I’m sorry you have this worry.

@aetw I was told by the radiographer that I would have a blood test then when we wen to see the doctor in the ward she said they only gave blood tests for suspected eptopic pregnancies :/

I’ve had 3 mcs and went for a scan at 4wks 5 days and they couldn’t see anything but I went back at 6wks 3 days and there was a heartbeat. However after they couldn’t see anything they tested my hcg levels on 2 separate days to see if they had doubled! They should’ve tested your levels so you know what’s happening. Maybe your earlier than you think, fingers crossed there’s a baby there on your next scan :) x

Thank you @natashaarr I’m hoping everything will be ok but I don’t feel particularly hopeful

So sorry this has happened to you. I'm in my 20s and have also suffered miscarriages. It really is heartbreaking.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but also don't want to tell you all is fine. Many people can see a heartbeat at 6+5 so very unusual that sonographer couldn't see anything at all. Fingers and toes crossed for you Thanks

My fingers are crossed for you, the worry it puts you through is unimaginable :( I hope your scan goes ok xx
