My booking appointment isn’t until 12 weeks?

It’s my sixth pregnancy (three DC and two mmc last year) and AFAIK the booking appointment has always been done between 8 and 10 weeks. I know they also book the scan during the booking appointment and you receive a letter with the date in the post.

I will be 12+2 at the booking appointment meaning the MW will have to try and slot me in for the scan within ten days-ish (since the scan has to be done by 13+6) will that even be possible? I’m worried about it, even more so after my MMC’s last year.

Could tippy call and see if they've got any cancellations? For various reasons I huffed an early scan and was booked I within a few days (Wed booking in, Mon scsn) so its possible but not ideal

In my first pregnancy, I ended up having booking in appt after the scan as there were no appointments available any sooner. I did speak to the midwife on the phone who took some basic details and I was still referred for the scan. Could you call the MW and make sure she knows you'll be that far on? She may be able to sort the paperwork before the appt.

My original booking appt would have put me in week 10/11. I was anxious about the scan date being later so I phoned the surgery in the end. They said the midwives def wanted the booking appt in wk 8 but were full on the normal booking in day so they booked me on the other midwife appt day that wk and just explained it to them. At least that way my scan date wasn't put back so it may be an idea just to phone and ask. The original receptionist I had obviously had no idea about it all :)
