Hi, looking for a bit of advice as very confused! First time trying for a baby... I am 9 days late (and normally like clockwork), did a cheap test which showed nothing within the time frame but then a faint but definitely pink line a couple of hours later ). Did two clear blue digital the next day, both negative. Still haven't got my period! Has anyone else experienced this? I've read about evaporation lines, can they be pink? Thanks so much xx

I think it's got to be within the time frame? I waited till I was 9 days late and the line came up before I finished peeing on it.

I've had times In the past when my period has been really late that's why I held out till 9 days

Habanero · 11/04/2018 12:10

It sounds as though it could be an evap line

Laura2312 · 11/04/2018 12:22

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, after 9 days you would expect it to show up right away. I'm usually very regular. Think I will book a doctors appointment if it hasn't come within the next few days... stressing me out Lol! Thanks guys

@Laura2312 I'm in exactly the same boat! Gonna hop onto this thread if you don't mind! Xx

When you say you're regular as clockwork, do you track your periods? I thought mine were too, but started using a tracking app and found they varied from 28 to 32 days. I took a test on day 33 which was the same as yours, pink line much later but not in the time window. A week later I took a clear blue and it came up within 10 seconds. I know it's expensive to keep taking them though.

Invalid. Re-test in a few days

Pinkvoid · 11/04/2018 14:09

Nine days late would show up a clear positive if you were pregnant.

Don't bother with the Clearblue ones, they're hopeless. Buy some FRERs and retest in a couple of days. Good luck!

Hi guys, thank you for the advice, I am quite similarly thinking it would show up right away after 9 days. Tinyterror1- I have used period checkers for about 2 years as a way of reminding myself My period is coming. Haven't taken any pills or contraception in about 2 years either. My cycle has only ever been between 29-31 days. Kate123 of course Not! Hope you get the result you are hoping for! The clear blue were conclusively not pregnant. It just seems a long time to miss a period. I am quite healthy, eat well exercise regularly and not under any amount of stress. I've booked a few appointment (the earliest I could get is in 2 weeks time with work) so if it hasn't arrived by then hopefully I will know Why!

@Laura2312 I have read a few stories about people not testing positive until 2/3 weeks after missed periods and others not ever having positive urine tests but only on blood work / ultrasound so it may be possible!Smile x

Laura2312 · 11/04/2018 15:09

Thanks Kate123 Shock there may be hope yet! Will keep my fingers crossed :) x
