This time tomorrow, I'll be in there and will have already had the scan. You might have read my other posts where I have convinced myself there won't be a heartbeat or something will be wrong. I can't stop worrying about it.

I'm ten weeks tomorrow, and I feel exactly the same, I've no reason to feel it and it's irrational and I know that, I want to be happy but I'm so worried I spent the day crying yesterday with worry. Sorry I have no advice but you're not alone feeling this way, good luck with your scan my fingers are crossed for you.

CathyandHeathcliff · 10/04/2018 10:24

@Savingtheworldb4bedtime I've been crying too, it's horrible isn't it? It's the unknown for me. I feel completely out of control of the whole situation.

I know I'll be shaking, heart racing, sweaty palms, nauseous walking in there tomorrow morning, I don't know whether my legs will work or not!

This time tomorrow, it'll all be over. I'll know either way. I just have a horrible feeling of intuition that something isn't right.

I keep reading about MMC and it seems so common, especially in first pregnancies.

I had some spotting early days and also bad cramping from the start which I thought was implantation. The spotting was usually after sex or sexual activity, but not always. I've not had any spotting for a few weeks now.

I don't know when my scan is yet, I think that's making me worse the not knowing how long I have to wait, but no doubt I'll. Be exactly the same, my sickness stopped a few weeks ago so I'm paranoid about that too.. I think knowledge isn't a good thing we read too much and sarella ourselves. I think cos we want everything to be okay so much, we start to question everything and read into it top much .. I go through fazes of been excited and online baby shopping well browsing then tell myself I'm getting carried away and need to back of cos it might not be meant to be. I think spotting like that can be normal though especially after sex, you'll definitely feel better tomorrow I think it's the not knowing what's worse.

Hi Ladies,

I was extremely worried about my first scan I had it yesterday. Its normal to worry, turns out i'm actually 12+6 when I thought I was 11+5! Crazy, I have a beautiful healthy little baby in there the panic was over nothing. If it puts your mind at ease get yourself a "ana wiz - handheld doppler-" around £40 but they are miracles, I was so worried about finding a heartbeat although I had no symptoms of anything being wrong but still I panicked. I'm a first time mum so I would do. The handheld doppler picks up the babys heartbeat so you can hear it its lovely. Really relax girls! You'll be fine, I was in the same boat as you guys now my partner says I am glowing. ♥️

Yay!!!

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 11/04/2018 12:02

Yes! Knew you'd be ok OP. Now relax until 20 weeks.

Didntcomeheretofuckspiders · 11/04/2018 12:05

Great news OP! Might be worth cropping the pic to hide your details though!

TinyTerror1 · 11/04/2018 13:42

Yay! Congratulations. I just wanted to say - to reassure anyone else reading, now you don't need it - if you look for posts about MMC it seems really common but I think it accounts for less than 5% of all early miscarriages. I had the same fear, I'd had a few instances of spotting as well. It's such a relief when you see the little one in there! xxx

SophieLMumsnet · 11/04/2018 15:48

Congratulations, OP! Flowers

We hope you don't mind - to be on the safe side, we took the picture of the scan down, because it had your details on it. You're more than welcome to put it back up if you're OK with that, of course.
