Osteopath?

Has anybody used an Osteopath or similar whilst pregnant?
I am 26 weeks and to begin with I suffered coccyx pain which went away, but has now returned as sciatica, weird cramp like feeling in my bum cheeks/lower back and restless legs. Someone suggested seeing an osteopath may help but my DP is worried they will do something they shouldn't and hurt the baby....
Any experiences?

As long as the Osteopath is registered I would say go for it. I went to one for SPD during pregnancy and it made all the difference!

@MATTSMAMMA thank you for the reply.

Its getting quite uncomfortable and I worry that leaving it will only make it worse. I may just give it a try! I guess that's the only way of knowing if it will help or not

Osteopaths are very good and much
More gentle than Chirpractors. I had spd in my first pregnancy - I ended up with crutches and support belts - just awful Shock. My second pregnancy the spd started much earlier but with regular visits to the Osteo I was hardly troubled with it - just wish I’d known about it in my first pregnancy! There’s lots of pregnant ladies regularly at my Osteo and they treat babies too Smile. Good luck! x

Thank you! A friend of mine sufferend terribly and actually ended up permanently on crutches or in a wheelchair when she went anywhere and I'd really hate it to get to that extent!
So far its bearable but getting worse

Actually my chiropractor was more gentle than my osteopath. She got me through 38 weeks of pain!!
