Passed huge blood clot...

Hi all. I'm 9+3 and have already been to EPAU for bleeding at 6 weeks. It was all fine and eased off and no sign of it for two weeks or so. Last night and this morning however I passed two big red clots of blood (bigger than I've ever seen in any period). Nothing else, no other bleeding, when I put my finger inside to have a feel it comes out completely clean. I was at the doctors yesterday for morning sickness, and have booked another appointment for this morning (doc is not going to be happy to see me two days in a row I can imagine!). Is this something I should worry about when I've already had a scan? Should I push for another scan? I'm going out of my mind as I've had two miscarriages before. Really terrified...

Was reading the thread from the beginning with a lump in my throat! So pleased all is OK, hope you can rest up and take it easy now, lots of luck with the rest of the pregnancy x

@Mistydampandwet ah bless you!

@AaronPurrSir I found 6+4 really stressful but looking back I wish I had been calmer and let things happen as necessary. Easier said than done! My advice is that if you feel something is wrong, get it checked out rather than sitting home worrying about it. Best of luck and thanks for your lovely kind words.

@Scotstar I also had to have a scan at 6 weeks. It's terrifying. I've had two miscarriages before and can't help but think the worst. I'm taking each day as it comes. 12 weeks will be a huge milestone. Congrats to you Thanks

Thank you @BabloHoney - watching DP smile when he saw the scan was wonderful. He's not the emotional type but he couldn't contain himself. So much love today! Still in shock that everything is ok...

I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and when I had my second pregnancy had to wait an age even for an early scan, the waiting is really hard.

The second pregnancy walked the dog this morning and washed my car last night (and is eating me out of house and home) he is the biggest strongest boy in his class xx

Good luck xx

Caramina That is fantastic news. I am so pleased for you.

Caramina · 11/04/2018 13:32

Thank you @spacecadet48

@Mistydampandwet how lovely. I don't like to wish my life away however would love to fast forward the next 3 weeks. Somehow I don't even think the 12 week scan will offer me much reassurance! Once you've had a miscarriage I don't think that worry ever leaves you...

Aww even though you're a stranger in the internet that news has made my day Brew

Meant to check back yesterday to see how you got on - what amazing news! I remember feeling so surreal after I'd resigned myself to a miscarriage and the baby was still there! In my case the bleeding went on for a good few weeks, but everything was fine. Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy! Flowers
