Vanishing symptoms - should I be worried?

I'm 11+4. Early on I had sore boobs and then had a lot of nausea and a bit of sickness between weeks 7 and 9. Since then, boobs are barely sore and all nausea has gone. I had a private scan at just over 7 weeks which was fine but panicking a bit now as all my symptoms seem to have vanished. I know I should probably just be grateful but finding it hard not to worry. Any thoughts?

I don’t want you frighten you unnecessarily but that was the only symptom I had miscarried last time. I didn’t have any pain or bleeding at all, I just simply stopped feeling nauseous and tired at around 9 weeks. Found out at the 12 week scan the heart had stopped at 9 weeks so made sense.

Having said that, it can be normal for symptoms to come and go so chances are all is ok. I’m sure you’ll be having your 12 week scan soon which hopefully will go ok Flowers.

@MamaL86 don't worry. Placenta has kicked in around then and symptoms tend to ease off. Exactly the same happened to me and had my 12 week scan today which was fine.

Chances are you'll be fine.

I know what you mean, it's a constant worry. My symptoms eased off around then too...of course I got worried and then they eventually came back, but much worse 😫 When's your 12 week scan? Hope you don't have long to wait.

Thank you all for your replies.

@pinkvoid thank you for your honesty - that's exactly what I'm scared of but I guess there's no way to know until the scan
I'm so sorry you went through that, must have been awful Flowers

@BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy so glad to hear your scan went well - you must be so relieved Smile. Had all your symptoms disappeared pre-scan?

@waitingonmylittleone have you now had your scan? I sorry your symptoms came back so much worse. Morning sickness was horrid but slightly reassuring. I'm on holiday at the moment so don't know when my scan is, really hoping it'll be very soon after I get back as my worrying has gone up a notch the last few days!

Yes pretty much apart from slightly sore nipples but nothing compared to what they were. When's your scan?

waitingonmylittleone · 10/04/2018 10:05

Yep I've since had my 12 week scan (which actually put me at 13 weeks) and then had a private scan at 16 weeks as I couldn't cope waiting. Everything is totally fine but the worry doesn't really go. Waiting until 12 weeks is definitely the hardest. I can feel baby move now which is reassuring but even with that I'm still nervous for my 20 week scan on Friday!! The unknown is hard. If it's really worrying you, it could be worth speaking to your midwife for reassurance. And hopefully you'll get your scan v soon after you're back from holiday 😊

@BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy I'm not sure when my scan is as I'm away on holiday at the moment and scan letter hadn't come through before I left. Get back Thursday when I'll be 12+0 so hoping there's a letter and that it'll be very soon.

@waitingobmylittleone the worry is horrid isn't it. I've got everything crossed your 20 week scan goes well so you can hopefully relax a little. I was so much more relaxed last time around (nearly 10 years ago) - I think you can know too much, if that makes sense Flowers

Just wanted to come back and update in case anyone with similar worries comes across my post. I had my scan today and all looked great, my dates were even moved forward by a week. I guess this may explain why a lot of my symptoms disappeared around what would have been week 10. Hopefully this reassures someone in the future Smile
