How far along?

Okay so this might be completely ridiculous but hoping for some help working out how far along my pregnancy is.

  1. No idea when last period was. Genuinely no clue.
  1. Felt sick and tired for about three weeks on and off
  1. Took a test today with afternoon pee and it came up positive immediately with a very dark line

What can I expect to happen when I book in re dating? I'm quite embarrassed that I have no clue. I don't know what to say to Midwife. Thanks!

Just tell the truth. I had the same thing happened and they scanned me, so fingers crossed they do the same for you.

If you're having physical symptoms, I'd imagine at least six weeks. I'm sure the midwife will be used to this situation and will have a process to help date the pregnancy.

Congratulations!!

Thank you for your replies! I hope so. I feel quite silly although I know it must happen.

Could they tell by feeling?

They sometimes feel to get a rough idea. Honestly don't be embarrassed though, plenty of people are irregular and can't be sure about dates. Congratulations and good luck.

P.s. re: feeling obviously that works when you're further along, not during the first few weeks.

They can’t feel anything until you are 12 weeks pregnant, that is when your uterus lifts above the pelvic bone. Until then it is impossible to tell how far along you are. You would need a scan to give you a definitive answer. Symptoms usually begin at 6 weeks so if they started 3 weeks ago you could be around 9 weeks. Different for everyone though.
