Still spotting brown blood and clots, giving up hop

I posted a couple of days ago about brown spotting I've been having for over a week now. In the last few days I've started to notice dark brown clots too. Surely spotting for this long is an indication of something bad? I have a scan booked in 11 days which seems like forever away and In my mind Im starting to write this off as a missed miscarriage. Anyone else experienced anything similar? (6+2 weeks, ectopic pregnancy ruled out)

Handhold here OP.

I have had both missed miscarriage and miscarriage multiple times. For me, missed miscarriage had no symptoms whatsoever. I only found out when no heartbeat at the scan. So I felt sick, no bleeding, no signs at all. With miscarriage, I had very obvious bright red bleeding, clots, cramps and pain.

Brown blood could be something else. I had a sub chronic hematoma in one of the pregnancies and it caused bleeding.

Is there anyway you can contact EPU for an emergency scan? Or GP for bloods. If they take 48 hours apart they can show if hormone is rising. Flowers

Thanks for your response. Sorry to hear of your miscarriages xx

I suppose the only thing with symptoms is that there's always a possible yes or no answer and in the end all you can do is wait and see. X

I had brown spotting at 4 and 8 weeks. I mentioned it to my GP but she wasn't concerned. Everyone said brown blood was old blood so not a worry. It got heavier at around 11 weeks when it turned to bright red blood. I knew it was over as I had cramping too. Went for scan which confirmed the worst. Hope it doesn't have the same outcome for you . Sorry you have this worry. Hope it turns out differently for you

Both my miscarriages started at brown discharge and then brown clots no other symptoms. First one started at 7 weeks and second at 8 weeks. Both times growth had stopped at about 5/6 weeks and my body just hadn't really done much about it and I didn't start bleeding properly till what would have been 10 weeks. This certainly might not be what's happening with you there are lots of stories of woman bleeding and having healthy babies. Can you call your GP and ask for a referral to the EPU?

I only ever had one miscarriage, and when it happened, I knew it !
It was very painful and there was so bright red blood. Not a lot of it but it was very bright in colour.
One of my friends has and one a few weeks ago and she had strong cramps and was bleeding quite a lot . She went to the hospital and there was no heart

I had brown spotting/ some clots throughout both pregnancies and had 2 healthy babies. It never got heavier/ turned red/ caused pain though. I don't want to give you false hope but in my case it was fine.

I went to the EPU who gave me a scan/ blood tests which provided immediate reassurance. Could you do similar?
