Hi, I have been on Microgynon for 7 years and my husband and I just decided maybe it's best to. Come off and let nature take its course.

I stopped taking my pill last month and am now 7 days late for my period.

I took two tests today and both were a strong positive.

Stupid question but do you think it's accurate and correct?

Thanks.

Totally possibly after coming off the pill, I was on a different pill but had a normal period and ovulation within the first month.

Pinkvoid · 07/04/2018 19:56

False positives are extremely rare so there’s a next to no chance of getting two.

Yes, barring incredibly rare hormone issues you are pregnant! Congrats!

squiglyline · 07/04/2018 23:06

I’d say your pregnant.

I was on the same pill for 14 years and took us 16 months.

Congratulations! Go see your gp for blood test to confirm x

palmsapphire · 08/04/2018 12:50

Ah - thank you all! I will book an appointment with my GP now

Just to say, my GP doesn't offer to confirm the pregnancy via a blood test, you just make a booking in appointment with the midwife. So don't be surprised if they say there's no need to test.

Cookie1831 · 08/04/2018 13:07

Congrats, you don’t need a blood test the urine positive is plenty ring your surgery and make a booking appt with midwife x

pickle162 · 08/04/2018 13:33

Yep I rang my gps and pretty much for the response of ..."and...." a lot of areas you just see the midwife now and even they don't confirm with another test. In my area we self refer to midwives rather than Gp surgery doing it

palmsapphire · 09/04/2018 10:10

Okay, thanks. (no one tells you about what to do) so I'm very grateful for all your advice!

Filled a self referral form today and will just wait for them to get back to me with a date.
