I've had this about an hour ago when wiping.
I've already worked myself up into a state about Wednesday's scan (you might have seen my previous post) now I've convinced myself there's something wrong.

That looks like normal increased discharge to me (disclaimer: not a medical professional)

What about it is worrying you?

SoyDora · 07/04/2018 17:37

I can’t see anything on the tissue.

TheImprobableGirl · 07/04/2018 17:37

Seems normal enough to me, how far along are you? I’ve just had a scare at 10 weeks where I was bleeding bright red, then brown, then a darkish yellow slimy sort of stuff (sorry Tmi) and baby was wiggling about gone. As pp said Looks like normal increased cm

TheImprobableGirl · 07/04/2018 17:38

Baby wiggling about FINE, not gone Grin

CathyandHeathcliff · 07/04/2018 17:39

@TheImprobableGirl I'm supposed to be 13 going by LMP but I think I'm less, more like 11 or 12.

I can’t see anything?

If you’re this anxious about that then I think the thing to be concerned about here is he level of your anxiety

CathyandHeathcliff · 07/04/2018 17:44

@PotteringAlong I do have GAD and suffer with panic attacks. Had anxiety most of my life. I'm seeing a counseller currently and will be under the care of the specialist mental health midwife. My scan is on Wednesday and I've worked myself up to think it must be bad news.

I’m glad you’re getting some help Flowers

Ninabellina · 07/04/2018 17:52

Looks very normal to me 🤷‍♀️

Addictedtohavingbabies · 07/04/2018 17:54

I can't see anything. Discharge is normal and an increase in discharge can also be normal. I had pinkish and brown discharge in my last pregnancy and all was fine. Try not to stress x

Ekphrasis · 07/04/2018 18:21

Around then us when discharge really ramped up, it got so bad in my second trimester this time I had to wear pads. Don't remember it being as bad with my first child, It's settled now in my third trimester thankfully!

I believe it's to do with the extra hormones and building your mucus plug.

Glad you're getting help. Do you have any pregnancy books? They're usually quite helpful at describing what's normal and why it's happening.

Pinkvoid · 07/04/2018 19:54

That looks like urine? My urine is bright yellow because of the prenatal vitamin. It’s generally that colour when I wipe.

ShirlySue · 07/04/2018 19:56

Looks very normal to me. I had brown discharge much darker than this, had an early scan and all was normal. What makes you think this is abnormal?

CathyandHeathcliff · 07/04/2018 20:33

@ShirlySue I'm always on the lookout for any spotting/bleeding or discolouration because I'm convinced something is wrong. I've worked myself up for my first scan on Wednesday.

I understand that you're on the lookout, but what about this specific photo is worrying you? When you look at that discharge, what makes you think it is abnormal? I really think you need to find a way to cope. I have GAD and have done for as long as I can remember so understand your anxiety, however you are going to have a very long and unpleasant pregnancy if you are worrying about things such as this to the extent that you are. You need to try and rationalise this and listen to what people on here are saying. It looks normal.

On another note, counselling has never worked for me and my anxiety. Maybe check out some CBT.
