Baby position 36 weeks

I’m trying yang to figure out what position my baby is in at 36 weeks. When I walk sometimes he feels so low down I can’t walk, but it’s not the ball between your legs feeling, it feels more like he’s lying sideways on my pelvis like in a hammock and it’s extremely uncomfortable, I tend to literally hold him up with my hands to ease the walking. Since many weeks I had a hard round ball sticking out left of belly button ( head or bump) and legs across to the right below the ribs but quite far down from the ribs. Babies are meant to engage at some point , when they do that does the rest of the body have to be up vertical or can they kind of fold? My pics attached

Have a look at the spinning babies website, there used to be a page on how to work out what bit was where based on bumps and lumps!

Yes I’ve been checking it but can’t really tell..

I’m not sure if this helps as your baby could be in a different position. I’ve been having trouble working out how baby was laying and had a growth scan this week (36 +2). I have a series of hard lumps on the right and two sets of lumps that move on my left. Turns out baby is head down but sideways on with back curved round on my right and feet sticking out on left with arms stretching out on left also. Midwife thinks so long as she stays head down it will be fine as she should bring her feet up for labour. Looks a bit weird especially when she seems to stretch limbs and back as seems to almost doubled over! Which way does midwife think yours is?

that's exactly my scenario, only that the feet are across to the right. I'm seeing a midwife next Wed so will ask, but last time (about 2 weeks ago) palpation showed the head was down, bump sticking out left of belly button, and body sideways whilst the scan next day showed the head on the left of my belly button, so either he moved in the day or the midwife didn't get it right. I wonder why is he never bringing his little feet up? And is it possible to deliver like this??

I think that's a transverse position. Mine got stuck like that for a week while she was trying to move into a head-down position. Made my sides look and feel so weird.

At 36 weeks I'm surprised they haven't discussed options for getting baby into the right position, with you.
