Hi all. I’m very new to mumsnet having found out I’m pregnant 2 weeks ago. I also got married 1 week ago! I’ve been so happy with all of the exciting news, that on honeymoon have probably not eaten as well as I might. I’ve just seen some photos from the day that my husband has taken and am so upset with the way I look. I know this is vein and I should be concentrating on making sure i’m as healthy as possible during the pregnancy, but i’m a bit concerned this is the start of my weight ballooning. I’m naturally big busted, but it just feels like everything is getting bigger before it should! I’m only 6 weeks!! Is there anything I can do or should I recalibrate my expectations?

Oh my gosh! I've been feeling exactly the same, 6 weeks like you and I too have been feeling puffed out all over and bloated. This is partially because I've had slight nausea and the only thing I feel like I can stomach is junky Carby food.

I suppose it's about having everything in moderation, trying to get some exercise in and generally just eating healthily. I've made a pact with myself to not let my early binging turn into a long term habit starting tomorrow!

It’s good to know i’m Not the only one! I keep reading about people losing weight due to sickness, I just seem to be swelling. My husband says it’s fine, I just look pregnant, and I keep trying to tell him that I shouldn’t!!

I’m 13 weeks now and I am naturally a slim build. I puffed out so much between weeks 5-10. I had no morning sickness just felt a bit sick so was eating lots.
Now at 13 weeks the puffiness has prett much gone and it’s turned into a little bump. I had to buy jeans 2 sizes bigger I was so puffy! It does go down. ( I don’t fit in my pre pregnancy jeans and size up just sits funny now round my waist but saggy everywhere else. ) so I just wear trousers with elastic ages waist bands now haha! Still not looking pregnant but at least the puff has gone x

The breasts defitinetly get plumped up first, that didn't bother me but the first trimester back fat sure did and I'd hardly gained weight then.

Also being so bloated I looked like I'd gained weight when I hadn't and it felt like it would never go away.

My in laws guessed I was pregnant at 4 weeks just from my boobs 😂 I was pretty bloated in those first few weeks too!! I did lose quite a lot of weight due to sickness (about 5kg) but I’ve gained most of it back now. Now at nearly 20 weeks it’s definitely a proper bump!
