Can I cycle to my glucose tolerance test?

I can't find anything which suggests against light exercise before the test.

I am still experiencing nausea in pregnancy which is likely to be worse after not eating. Cycling normally suppresses the nausea. The alternative is to get the bus, and I get travel sick at the best of times, and the bus will take longer.

The cycling will be at a leisurely pace, no more strenuous than walking for the same amount of time. Pre-pregnancy I regularly cycled to work before I'd had breakfast.

Unless you think it'll make you faint, go for it. If you vomit during the test they make you redo it a different day, so best minimise the nausea!

Make sure you take something substantial to eat after, assuming you'll be cycling back again. I felt a bit wobbly from the fasting + glucose, and one woman at mine fainted.

Cycling there should be fine but make sure you eat before cycling back. It made me feel horrid!

I've got a scan later in the day, so I'll definitely have time to eat and rest before going back. Full day at the maternity hospital!
