Yolk sac but no foetal pole at 6 weeks

Hi, I went for a 6 week scan today due to previous ectopic and they could see the gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole. I'm booked in to go back in 2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and had a positive or negative outcome? They said it might be that it's too early or it could be a non viable pregnancy x

I had that at my scan with this pregnancy at 6weeks but they weren't even sure on yolk sac. Went back at 7 weeks and saw heartbeat. Now 10 weeks awaiting date for 12 week scan

I really feel for you because these 2 weeks are going to feel like they're dragging by.
Positive outcome for me, at my repeat scan everything was as it should be and saw the heart beating.

I'm going to be no help. I've had this 3 times. Twice it was bad news 3rd time is this pregnancy and they had just scanned too early.

I had this too. I went back for another scan one week later and they found a heartbeat. I think my dates must have been wrong.

I went on to have a beautiful little girl and she is now 3 years old.

It was really tough having to wait. I really hope you have good news.

Firstly, congratulations! I've had 2 MCs and had an early scan due to right side pain. Had exactly the same thing with yolk sac etc but no fetal pole, they said I was v v early on and couldn't tell me how many weeks. Cue panicking, looking it up on google etc... went back two weeks later and we saw the heartbeat! Turns out I was roughly a week behind on dates. I'm currently 28+3 but I can remember the waiting and worrying like it was yesterday.

I’ve been for a early scan today I thought I was 6+ weeks she dated me at 5+ as there was gestational sak and yolk Sak but no Fetal pole, The sack measured 9mm, I’ve got another scan booked next week so hoping I will see a heart beat, could all you lovely mummies give me your outcomes if you’ve been in this situation Thankyou so much x
