Havent posted in so long, but feeling the need for some mummy advice right now.
I had some brown spotting this morning then passed a big brown clot and went to maternity admissions.
Was checked over (urine, bp, babys heartrate etc) and then doc did a speculum examination and took a swab to check for infection, which did not hurt whatsoever and wasnt uncomfortable either thankfully. Sent me home, ive to ring in 48 hrs for results.
However, midwife today mentioned mucous plug and now discharge is stringy and brown, ive a sore back and my bumps really achy.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a lost plug that was brown?
This is my 3rd pregnancy and with my other 2 my plug looked like snot with streaks of blood and i never lost it this early.

I've been losing my plug since 20 weeks (no blood in though!)
I'm guessing the brown would just be old blood? Hope all's ok Flowers

@MrsG95 thank you, doc said everything looked okay and my cervix was still closed so that put my mind at ease. Ive heard you can lose plug early, it was just the brown scared me. Need this wee baby to hold on a few weeks longer, shes breech atm and needs to turn so i can try a normal birth. Dont love the idea of a section, had one with my first and took me so long to recover, my second i was able to deliver myself and was back on my feet straight away. How far along are you now?
