Hi

Anyone know where I can get replacement straps for maxi cosi cabriofix please?

Seat was in loft and straps are mouldy don't think they'll wash clean.

Thought would be easy to find on google but not so

I’m happy to be corrected but I don’t think you can buy replacement straps. Any alteration to the structure invalidates the seat’s safety and there would be too much margin for user error if people fitted their own straps.

We had the same problem after storing a maxi cosi Pebble. We placed a bowl of oxygen bleach solution (like Vanish Oxi) in the seat and soaked the straps in it. Got rid of the mould spots. I wouldn’t use normal bleach in case it weakened the fabric.

Contact maxi cos I and ask, but if it's been stored that long I would personally replace I reckon.

Ours are the same, I think it's a common problem, I'm planning to soak them clean in vanish as well.
There are some for sale on eBay but as maxi cosi don't make them they can't be genuine so I don't want to chance it.
It seems silly to have to buy a whole new seat for a bit of mould on the straps.

I actually know exactly what to do as I had the same happen. Just scrub the suckers in neat bleach (obviously remove them first!!!) then stick em in the wash. They come up perfect!

Thanks for tips everyone. Seat is pristine otherwise - obviously don't want to put baby in jeopardy. Will try to clean with your tips thanks!

Hi, how did you get on with the straps in the end? We have just got our pebble out of the loft for baby number 2 and found that they are mouldy!
