Honestly makes no sense that hospitals and midwives can do nothing for the condition spd, I am lucky I have only had it for 6 weeks but some people get it in pregnancy all the way through. Can be mild to severe but if someone has it as severe as me to the point I’m crawling out of bed and to the toilet and on crutches 24/7 for the pain it’s ridiculous, I take 10 minutes of crying and screaming in pain to get in the car. I’m two days away from my due date and I’m on co-codomal and it hasn’t helped at all that’s how extreme the pain is. Being told there is nothing anyone can do breaks my heart and I just now have to suffer until she is out. It’s a shame the condition is so mild for most people that it gets ignored but it is the very few that it can be a living hell for. It makes you feel paralysed when you get stuck in a position and cannot get out without help. I tell you what get an amazing partner like I’ve got Connor and they will be the most supportive and helpful person, he has been incredible and I cannot thank him enough but if I didn’t have him who knows how I would get out of bed in a morning or even get in the bath. It makes normal day to day activities a chore and you spend them crying or screaming because of the pain. This condition needs to be more highlighted.
