9 weeks and bleeding

I'm having an awful first trimester. First I'm in hospital for suspected ectopic. Then I'm in hospital with hyperemesis. Now I'm bleeding. I'm 9 weeks and a few days. I work in a hospital so have walked to the gynae ward just for advice (and it is the hospital I will be having my 12 weeks scan) and I think they're just going to send me away which is so annoying.
So I'll have to trek to my GP (an hour away from where I work) and then be sent to a different hospital EPAU( closer to where I live but not the one I've opted for my care to be under).
2 points to this post - one is to rant about how horrible first trimester is.
Second is to see whether bleeding can just be ok. Will EPAU always want to see you if you're bleeding or will they just give advice and let you on your way?
It's bright red blood when I wipe.

Bleeding can be OK. I had two large bleeds in my pregnancy at 9 and 11 weeks and both babies were fine both times. Currently 31 weeks.

My EPU will see you with any bright red bleeding I think. Although both times I went I'd bled a lot so there was no argument about me needing to be seen.

A&E referred me the first time as my midwife hadn't sent over the right form. After that I was allowed to go back on my own day so.

I am currently sat in hospital waiting to be seen for bleeding
I am 8 and half weeks

I have never had bleeding in previous pregnancies so very worried

PenguinChristmas · 03/04/2018 15:01

I bled at 6, 8 and 10 weeks followed by a massive bleed at 14 weeks. Baby was fine all time, no visbal reason for the earlier bleeds and the 14 week one was due to low lying placenta.

I’m 26+3 now and was in hospital last night for some spotting again ok real reason but baby is all ok

Although it’s very difficult not to worry it doesn’t mean bad new every time. Fingers crossed you get seen soon

Pinkvoid · 03/04/2018 15:07

My local EPAU will see you for any abnormal cramping or bleeding, however minimal. They saw me last year for brown spotting at 11 weeks which turned out to be a MMC. EPAU have been very good ime. I hope all is ok for you Flowers.

booandbumpp · 03/04/2018 15:47

The ward I was sat in waiting in wouldn't see me. But my more local hospital have booked me an early scan tomorrow.
Thank you for your replies. At least I will get answers tomorrow. @Fidgety31 fingers crossed for you x

I'm due a scan first this tomorrow, 7weeks pregnant, had a bleed last Wednesday, nothing since and no cramping. Hope all goes well for you in the morning

FranticallyPeaceful · 03/04/2018 18:54

Depends how much and on a lot of things, but bleeding from 9-13 weeks is really common as it’s when the placenta starts doing its thing properly. Can’t remember exactly

edinbeezer · 03/04/2018 19:44

I also have an early scan tomorrow. 7+4 and have had light but red bleeding since yesterday evening. I hope all of you who are in similar boats have successful scans. Much love.

Misssmoo · 04/04/2018 18:41

Hope all the scans went okay

edinbeezer · 04/04/2018 19:05

Unfortunately mine wasn't great. Foetus is measuring the correct size but the heartbeat is slightly slower than it should be. Going back for a follow up scan in a fortnight but the nurse told us it's unlikely to end well. I hope everyone else's went a lot better.

booandbumpp · 04/04/2018 19:10

Sorry to hear that @edinbeezer

Mine went well. They saw heartbeat and nothing to suggest that it wouldn't progress. Little bean was even kicking and moving about so I'm ok for now! They didn't measure heartbeat though.
