Evening,

I have just come home from the hospital due to reduced movements and period like pains, I am 26 weeks and 4 days it's my second time in a week up for reduced movements, I am having extra scans once I get to the third trimester due to myself having a heart condition, they want to have a emergency scan within the next 48 hours due to the reduced movements, I should add her heartbeat seems fine, I am a carer and am meant to be in work tomorrow at 8am, do you think I should go in? Im stuck as to whether to go in or not! Thanks

Personally, I wouldn't x Are you waiting for them to call you to go in for the scan?

It's very important that you don't miss it, it can tell them more about the condition of your placenta than just relying on the heartbeat (afaik).

Wishing you well Flowers

This is affecting me too, I know how worrying it is. Go to work by all means as long as you can leave to go to the scan. They’ll check the cord/water etc to check nothing is affecting baby that could be causing reduced movements. Likelihood is it’ll be fine but you mustn’t take the chance, too much is potentially at stake. Good luck Flowers

Stay at home and rest, you'll only make mistakes at work and least you can get straight to the hospital when needed xx

Thanks everyone, I didn't go in, got to wait till tomorrow until I get a extra scan, I myself stopped growing at 26 weeks though my parents didn't find out till 30 weeks, so as there is a history of myself not growing and with me having a heart condition that may mean she won't grow as well, I'm worried! X
