Blinking Nora- all of a sudden I've become so uncomfortable!!

  • Can't sleep at night as every way I lay I ache/ get cramp/ get kicked by baby
  • Baby keeps punching/ headering my bladder so it feels like I'm either gonna pee myself or my waters will break any second (Seriously thought a couple of times I would be making an emergency dash to the hospital!)
  • keeps sticking its feet up into my ribs so I have to sit all wonky until it moves them down again.
  • lady parts are blooming sore- seeing the doc about that today!
  • Walking like a weeble cos I'm so stiff
ARGHHHH!!! Talk about all coming at once!! Thats it- moan over!

Funny thing is, I normally sleep on the left, so find it hard to dose off in any other position. I try to sleep on my right but it just doesn't happen.

The earache thing is so ridiculous, isn't it!

Hey ho, only 9 wks to go. Am gonna sleep on my back forever after that, well, maybe on my stomach for a bit too (ahh, no, just remembered the sore boobs and milk puddles!)

Congratulations Emmymummy. Am jealous of your new found comfort! Is dd your 2nd or 3rds child? Just wondering how you felt after the birth. I'm expecting my 2nd just a week before my brother marries and am trying to be realistic about whether I'll make the wedding. DD was a few days late and I was dreadful after the first birth... Would you have been up for a wedding (albeit just a few hours at the church and reception) a few days after the birth?

Hi Freysmum - this is my 2nd child and she arrived 10 days late (dd1 was 7 days late). Hard to say really if you'd be up for the wedding as it depends on so many things (if your baby is late, what kind of birth you end up with, if the baby ever sleeps...! etc). Personally I have been fine this time 'round, so would have been up for a wedding & a couple of hours of reception a week after having dd2 (ie. yesterday). However I feel really lucky this time as I had a wonderful home birth, and dd2 is very chilled and just tends to feed and sleep. I had no complications and was only really in labour for about 3 hours. Probably best to just see how you feel on the day and take it easy on yourself. Good luck!
