Advised to take 75mg of Asprin from 12 weeks

I'm just over 12 weeks and haven't started yet but I intend to get some tomorrow from the chemist.
It's because of my high BMI, although my blood pressure is fine.

I'm anxious about it because I have issues with stomach acid and reflux and I know it can exacerbate these.

Have the gastro resistant ones maybe. There is something you can take with them too if it plays silly buggers with your stomach, just ask your gp - I can’t remember what it’s called but I have to take it with naproxen otherwise it rips my stomach to shreds

I did this my last pregnancy, Tesco sell gastro resistant ones for really cheap

I am currently 27 weeks and also have stomach issues and reflux problems. I have been taking 75mg aspirin since 12 weeks and haven't had any problems, I take the gastro resistant ones and always take it after food.
You can get the tablets in Wilko, Savers etc. And they are quite cheap

I was on an off aspirin for the first 20 weeks of this pregnancy. In the end I was advised to come off because I kept bleeding - it stopped within days of stopping the aspirin.

I'm 29 weeks now and injecting clexane daily, I'm having a c section in ten weeks.

@jamoncrumpets Oh really? This is partly why I'm hesitant to take it. What kind of bleeding?

I had a haematoma and also kept spotting. The consultant told to come straight off.
