Hi ladies, I am 17 weeks pregnant and today I spent 4 hours repainting an accent wall in our spare room to be the same colour as the other walls. I have used crown matt breatheasy emulsion. I did not have any of the windows open and didn’t think till afterwards that it may be a problem...
Does anyone think that this could cause a problem for the baby? Xx

I’m planning on doing some painting this week while off at 15 weeks. X

I’m just worried I didn’t have the window open. Most websites say make sure there is good ventilation - but it’s so cold at the moment!

I painted 6 rooms, 3 bathrooms and a hallway/stairs with DH over the course of a week last October when I was at a similar stage in pregnancy. Honestly didn’t give it a second thought other than I probably overdid it but the people we’d bought the house from were manky and it really needed done. Try not to worry you’ll be fine

Honestly imagine all the pregnant women who paint nurseries throughout pregnancy, and give their homes a touch up during nesting. Don’t worry about it, you’ll be absolutely fine as will your little human

I'm 21 weeks and we have painted and glossed the nursery room and also gutting out downstairs.
Rest of week doing the toddlers room up so as long as it's not 1950s arsenic or lead paint it's fine.

Gloss makes me sick though so be wary of that but some warm lemon water help the smell.

Thankyou ladies - this has reassured me. Can’t help worrying about the silliest littlest things at the moment! Should have just got DH to do but I would be waiting till this time next year 😒

NHS says it's only the first trimester there's a tiny risk.
