Expecting the worst. Advice? Xx

Hi all,

I am currently 8wks 3days. I’ve had brown spotting on and off during this pregnancy but a scan at 6wks 3 showed a heartbeat and all looked ok. Spotting stopped.

This morning, I’ve had more significant red blood with some tiny clots. I’m expecting the worst. Everything is closed with it being the bank holiday and I know it’s just a waiting game, but I feel truly awful. Any words of advice? I’m a bit scared about what is coming xx

Hi there! Yes, everything is perfect! Measuring exactly 9 weeks and saw little arms and legs (or the beginnings of). So relieved xxx

Just to add I am another one who had various bleeds in early preg incl a 3 mth big scare one but today have a happy healthy DD aged 12... not the easiest pregnancy but we got there - good Luck

Thanks everyone. I’m in bed already as all of this worrying and then the release has worn me out! It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster so far. Thanks for all of the support and personal stories- it really helped xx

I'm good thanks, I have my 12 week scan on Saturday. Fx for both of us!

All perfect as well. What a relief. So goes to show that bleeding in early pregnancy isn't necessarily a problem!

RD15 have just read the whole thread and so relieved for you! I had slight light brown/pink bleeding with DD, not much at all but ha an early scan at 7+4 and there was her little heartbeat.

She’s 4 now

Great news OP. I had so much bleeding in the first 17 weeks of this pregnancy. One bleed ended up with 2 pints of blood loss and admission into hospital and then since week 17/18, there's been nothing. I'm now 22 weeks and had my 20 week scan last Monday and all seemed fine. Bleeding is totally terrifying and I don't think I've ever seen as much blood as I have during this pregnancy!
