Migraine with Aura during pregnancy

I never use to get migraines but two weeks after I gave birth to DS he started getting them with aura.

I’d only get a few a year but currently 10 weeks pregnant and have got this type of migraine 5 times in the last couple weeks.

Anyone else experiences this?

My gp says no one really knows where they come from but mine started filling the birth of DS and now during my second pregnancy I’m getting frequently.

Hormones make them worse that’s why it’s come back in pregnancy

It’s hormones. I get them in the first trimester. It’s rubbish so I hope they stop for you soon.

Definitely hormone related, mine stopped by about 15 weeks

Yeah I get them more during pregnancy. I've had 6 in 7 days recently, that was fun. I usually get 1 or 2 a year at most.

Yes, they can be hormonal. Some triptans can be safely taken in pregnancy under the supervision of a doctor.

As my my rest as possible helped keep mine at bay, along with shedloads of water and pain relief. Hypnobirthing helped me in general with relaxing and I definitely thin I was pretty tightly wound before that. As others have said, it's hormonal and should pass and I got them again when I stopped bf
