Feeling really frustrated and need somewhere to rant, sorry in advance.

I had a Glucose Tolerance Test on 14th March. Was told I would hear back within a week and that if I didn't hear then nothing wrong. Thursday evening I get a call to say bloods had come and I am showing as 'impaired'.

Assuming that means my ability to regulate insulin is impaired and I have gestational diabetes. Have an appointment to pick up blood monitor at the end of this week and then will see specialist team the week after.

I am feeling really annoyed as I thought I was ok, I know the NHS are massively busy and I don't want to put any extra strain on that but there were only 2 of us having a gtt that week, was it unreasonable to expect a call at the week mark just to let me know results aren't back. Also frustrated that midwife just told me to come up and then basically put the phone down. No basic advice on what to eat/avoid until I pick up my blood monitor. No information on respected websites maybe to check for info while I am waiting for appointment.

Have done some research myself and obviously avoided large quantities of chocolate and altering carbs but feeling really abandoned with something that could really negatively affect my pregnancy.
