Hi there, can anyone give me advice? I', 31 weeks and since last night have had a very uncomfortable bump, with baby not moving as much and my bump seems rock hard all the time. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated!

Always phone the midwife if baby is not moving as much as usual. Normally nothing to worry aboutt but better to get it checked. You will probably go in for monitoring just for an hour or so xx

Agree with the others- call your MW. I'm sure an uncomfy bump is all par for the course- (see my thread about being uncomfy) but if you are ever worried then call your MW. Thats what they are there for.

Your bump being rock hard is probably just braxton hicks contractions which can be uncomfortable too. These are just 'practice' contractions and are nothing to worry about. I had these with my first pregnancy off and on from 28 weeks. But I agree with everyone else that if you're worried you are better off chatting it over with your midwife to put your mind at rest
