Babies Clothes labels

Hello there,
39+3 today and when looking at the clothes I have so far for baby and trying to decide if I need more or not!! It has occurred to me that all the labels, particularly in vests seem big and scratchy!!! Does or has anyone else cut these out and how do you then tell the size or rather how will other half be able to tell? Sorry if it's a silly question!

I wouldn't cut them, I think it probably makes them more scratchy as it's a sharp edge!

I didn't cut them out, in vests they are quite often down by the hip and nappy will be there
