Clear blue showing 2-3 weeks at 3+6 weeks

Hello,

This is my first pregnancy so everything (including the lingo) is very new to me! I got my bfp 12 dpo, the day I was due AF. I took two line tests then decided to do a clear blue digital the next morning meaning I was only 13 dpo. The clear blue digital showed I was already 2-3 weeks. I have read lots of threads online saying other women were stuck on 1-2 or 2-3 when they were 5/6 weeks plus.

Has anyone else had a high reading off a clear blue digital? I haven’t done another test but I’m contemplating it just to see what it says.

Any advice would be welcome 😁

If the clear blue test says 2-3 that means your 4-5 weeks .. if you look ok the leaflet it says 1-2 means 2-3 .. and 2-3 means 3-4 Etc .. I think it's when you conceived . . So you must be 4-5 weeks Smile congrats

Hey paz1234, thank you for your reply. I’m definitely not 4-5 weeks though! 😂 my partner and I only did the deed once the day before I ovulated. I’ve been tracking my bbt so I know exactly when
I ovulated. So not sure why it should be showing I’m 4-5 weeks??

It all depends on the levels of HCG in your blood.. the clear blue test goes by those HOWEVER they are notoriously unreliable so please don't worry! Perhaps you just have slightly higher levels of hcg!

Em2210 · 02/04/2018 07:12

Although I guess if that means 4-5 weeks after my LMP then yes it is just really accurate. I was just surprised as others had reported it being really inaccurate with the dates.

Hey ellebellesxxx, thank you. I was unsure how the clear blue dated the weeks, wheather it was from conception or how docs would count it? It was more of a query than a worry and just thought it was strange I had a high hcg at 13 dpo and my first bfp was only 12 dpo, all negatives up until then. Especially as my sister said ooohh there might be two lol! I’ll just have to wait and see. 😀

Hey Em2210, I have to admit I could have posted this thread I’m in exactly the same situation! I’ve just found out I’m pregbany with my first and after a two line test took the clear blue conception test and got 2-3 weeks!

NapQueen · 02/04/2018 07:41

Doctors, midwives etc will all date the pregnancy from the first day of your last period. So if that was 4 to 5 weeks ago thats how pregnant you are, even if you only conceived 2 to 3 weeks ago.

Soulcakequack · 02/04/2018 07:45

The week indicator for clear blue isn’t that accurate. I’ve had two different readings using the same wee sample!

OrangeHorses · 02/04/2018 07:50

Congratulations Thanks I got my BFP at 9dpo with both pregnancies, the weeks indicator did similar for me.

Rooroo1012 · 02/04/2018 08:09

My test showed 1-2 weeks conceived which dates me 2-3 weeks pregnant. Later on I had a scan and it dated my pregnancy at 8+3. After I worked out the dates, it showed the clear blue to be accurate to when I conceived. The first two weeks you aren’t actually pregnant as they date you from you lmp. I wouldn’t worry too much unless there is a reason you need to work out conception. I had my reasons trying to work it out and was lucky the clear blue was accurate for me. Congratulations x

CherryVicky29 · 02/04/2018 08:16

I wouldn’t worry to much I got my BFP at 11 dpo and like yourself 2-3 showed by 13dpo. At dating scan I was only 1 day out 🙂

ellesbellesxxx · 02/04/2018 09:10

@Em2210 haha! I almost wrote about maybe there is more than one.. but I have twins and the clearblue was exact for the first couple of weeks.. then took agggges to go to 3+ so I don't think they are that spot on ;) if it is twins though let me know! X

FancyNewBeesly · 02/04/2018 09:18

Well it did mean two for me, but other twin mums I know never had this,

Popadoodledoo · 02/04/2018 11:10

When I was pregnant with ds2 my husband bought be 2 clearly digital.

I did one on the night time which said 3+. I then was shitting my self because I have twin sisters.

Then i did one on the morning which said 2-3.
Which would of been correct.

The number you get on the weeks indicater you have to add 2 weeks on (because you date your pregnancy from last day of your period)

So if it said 2-3 weeks you would actually be 4-5 weeks pregnant.

It sounds right to me.

I wouldn't worry about working out conception unless it's actually needed.
Your scan will give you a correct due date, and how far you are. Then you can work out when you conceived correctly.

Popadoodledoo · 02/04/2018 11:11

Sorry clear blue digital

Em2210 · 02/04/2018 11:28

Hey everyone thanks for the replies. Yeah I’m not worried anyway! And it was more out of curiosity as I had read lots of threads that people’s digitals readings were less than what they expected. I’m currently 4+6 weeks pregnant (as the docs call it) so the clear blue digital just must have been accurate for me as I would have technically been 13 days pregnant. My first docs appt is over a week away so my scan won’t be til another 7-8 weeks. Just frustrating having to wait!
