Runny egg

Hi folks. I am at a friend's house for the weekend and have just eaten a fried egg with a runny yolk. I didn't realise that the egg was from one of my friend's mum's chickens and so not red lion stamped. Getting a little bit worried so hoping someone can put my mind at rest about it. I'm 7 weeks. Thanks in advance!

That egg is probably better than any you will buy in the shops

What fidgety said. I hope you enjoyed your egg. Happy Easter and congratulations on your pregnancy!

Unless your friend and family regulary come down with salmonella poising regulary then you are fine.

Most pet chickens are vaccinated anyway for it- think the vaccine lasts 2 generations but may be wrong been a long time since keeping hens.

Comgratulations - try not to worry about food things too much x
