Other than pregnancy?

Hi there,

Is there any other reason for having milk other than pregnancy? I was having a shower and I noticed that I have some milk and clear liquid coming out very little. My breasts have been sore lately and itchy, very sensitive. I don't think I'm pregnant because my period will be in 9 days and I took a pregnancy test and came out negative, so I doubt it's that.

I'm not sure what could it be. Has this happened to anyone?

It's called galactorrhea and isn't that uncommon

DO NOT BE ALARMED- A tiny benign petutitory glad tumor can cause it too, it causes no ill health and you can live with it forever with milk being your only issue.

I've been known to leak a little milk ages and ages after weaning; have you breastfed in the past? I think I'd be tempted to go and get it checked out by a doctor, though, as you have other symptoms.

Thanks for the answers. Answering to one of your questions, my toddler is 27 months old and I stopped breastfeeding him more or less when he was 11 months.

I'll ask for a doctor's appointment but hate to wait 3 weeks for the appointment and not know.
