Well I've not stopped crying and am so worried.
Since 20 weeks (now 28) I've had intercostal myalgia (pain in my left rib area) I've not been able to work because of it. Awful spasm/cramp like pain, only stops to lay/sit down. I went back to the doctor as I've got myself in a really bad head space. Very down. So the doctor asked for an mot of blood tests and wrote to my OB to see if they were happy for me to have a scan done of that area. The bloods were done in the morning at the hospital and the doctor called me by the afternoon. He said everything is fine apart from one of the inflammatory markers were raised. He said its a non specific test. But it's what they would see with a virus or cold. He then said he has gone ahead and actually requested I have a scan on my chest (rib area) where pain is.
I've not stopped crying since speaking with him. I am so scared and worried.
I feel fine in myself apart from this cramping when it happens.
I am type 2 Diabetic but on insulin and metformin.
I have trouble with my coccyx which has been alot worse since pregnancy. Feels very inflamed and tender down there.
I am frightened.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this either the pain or the bloods being raised? I think it's the crp level. If you have had the same sort of pain in the rib/back area please describe it.
