Slow miscarriage

I think I'm having a slow miscarriage, but I'm not sure. I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I started spotting a small amount of brown blood on Monday, then on Tuesday there was a small amount on red blood. Every day the red blood has increased, and now it's like a very light period. I spoke to my midwife and the GP, who have both told me to wait and see what happens, basically, but to go to A and E if I get pains or a lot of blood. I'm in no pain, and my stomach didn't hurt when the doctor palpitated it. So, do you think this is building up to a miscarriage? Also, I'm meant to be going away this weekend for a wedding and staying in a hotel for two nights, I really don't want to start bleeding loads when I am there. I did a pregnancy test this morning, and it was still positive.

Hi sorry to hear about what your going through. Have you got any early pregnancy unit you could attend? I ended up at one this week as I had spotting and discharged was pink/light red when I wiped id also been having cramps in my stomach and back sometimes quite uncomfortable at times I ended up having an early scan and they found baby's heart beat and they have no concerns. It may be implantation bleeding? X

Or if your due a period around this time x

The midwife said the brown blood could be implantation bleeding, but not the red. Implantation would make sense because my periods aren't regular and I suspect I might be a week behind where I'm estimated to be. But I think there is too much blood now for that Sad

I was the same I thought I was anywhere between 7-9 weeks but I'm around 5/6 weeks so think mine was implantation bleeding. Could you see anyone tomorrow about it? Sorry you're in this situation know exactly what it's like
I'm still worrying now 🙁

So sorry to hear this. I would recommend getting an early scan. I had bleeding like this that got progressively worse and unfortunately I did end up miscarrying. That’s not to say that’s what’s happening to you though! An early scan will give you more of an idea. How many weeks are you? Be prepared though as they may scan you and then ask for you to return a week later for another. X
