Taking aspirin & clexane during pregnancy - anyone else?

This is my second pregnancy. With DD I was on 75mg of aspirin every day from 16w until I gave birth (exactly 40w) because I had a bmi of 31.
Unfortunately after the birth I haemorrhaged and needed a blood and iron transition to the amount of blood loss.

This time I am once again taking aspirin (had to start at 12w this time) and have been told by my midwife I will need to most likely need to use clexane this time around too to prevent DVT as my bmi is 38 this time.Blush
Basically, I am petrified of a haemorrhage again & wondering if anyone had it happen a second time? Also wondering if when I see my consultant next week I can ask for a elective c-section, or will that cause more blood loss than a natural birth?

For different reasons, I was on Clexane, but despite my risk of clotting, my plan was elective c section and stopping the clexane for the procedure. With your history, I would have thought they would stop the clexane very early and want to be in very good control of your birth.

I.e. they would be looking at elective c section or induction, which was my plan with my first whilst on clexane (although in my case the induction didn’t work)

@CoperCabana thank you for your advice; I had an induction with DD. Do you think induction or c section seems most likely??

Yes I wiuld think so because they would want to plan it and stop your injections before. I am not a medic though!
