Hi moms!
Maybe I can get some answers on here since google is a pain . So I got my period 2 weeks ago. Normal period everything was ok. Last week I found some brown spotting so I figured maybe it was just the rest of my period. A couple days ago the brown spotting became red blood and became really heavy. Randomly 2 days ago I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive, strange because I just had finished my period.. Yesterday the bleeding was so bad I had to leave work twice to change my pants. (With blood clots) I’m feeling cramp like symptoms but not as extreme as google says they would be if I was having a miscarriage.. Today still blood but not as bad as yesterday. I’m changing period pads like I’d change it for a regular period... There are blood clots coming out as well non stop. Ugh What can this be?? Could this be a miscarriage? I also read similar symptoms can be implantation bleeding. This will be my 2nd pregnancy and never experienced this before. Help!

The heaviness and clotting would probably mean a miscarriage is likely. I'm sorry op.
I would ring the epu for advise xx

sorry OP but sounds like miscarriage :( implantation bleeding is normally just a little light bleed but not usually clots and dont usually last that long

With such a heavy bleed, I would say MC. You will test positive for a few weeks afterward. I've bled in early pregnancy but what's not an encouraging sign is when the blood continues into the next day and you're having to change your pants- it's period heavy, so, very sadly, I would be surprised if your pregnancy is a viable one.

I'd see your GP and have an ultrasound arranged.

Are you in the States or in the UK>
(EPU= early pregnancy unit. I'm not sure what the U.S. equivalent is but your GP can arrange the scan at the appropriate unit.)

Does implantation bleeding cause period like symptoms? Cramps , stomach aches. Etc?

Sorry op but this does sound like how my mc was. I thought the first bleed was just my period and then only tested when I started bleeding a few days later. With my implantation bleed I had period like pains but not severe.

Should I go to a hospital and get it all checked out or wait and arrange an ultrasound appt?
