Hi guys, I have just joined this group so sorry if there is somewhere else I should be posting this but I need some help and advice. I am about 15 weeks pregnant and I have got terrible stitch like pains down the right side of my stomach. Its not from doing exercise as I have spent a lazy day on the sofa but I am in agony to the point that I struggle to move. Should I be concerned or is it just part of the growing process (this is my first btw so have nothing to compare it to) any advice is greatly appreciated as I don't really have anyone to talk to apart from my partner who doesn't really understand. Tia x

You shouldn’t ignore any pain that really hurts while pregnant.

Go and see if you can catch a midwife at your clinic or your GP. I went to mine a couple of times when pregnant as had all sorts of pains 🙈

If you're worried you can talk to your midwife and they will be happy to put your mind at rest but my experience was similar around the 16 week mark. All the ligaments are relaxing and stretching and it can be quite painful.

As long as there's no other red flags such as bleeding or worsening pain etc I wouldn't worry too much.

Congrats! Its scary when you go through the first and lots of stuff will freak you out so as said previously, don't be shy to call your healthcare provider :)

Also ! Which I’m not saying this is the case, I think as women we tend to just stick pain out. Go and get checked out x
