Hi

I have just found out I am pregnant (I never thought I would be saying that again! :-)) and my local GP has said that I have a choice of Lewisham or Guys and St Thomas. I went to Lewisham last time but I have had a couple of bad experiences so I wondered if Guys was recommended at all? Thanks!

I’m at guys and so far they have been great. Really lovely staff and quick appointments. I’ve had both scans now and been to early pregnancy unit with bad cramps (nothing to worry about). I really can’t fault them.

My only issue is that I really want the option of an epidural and they are reluctant to let me give birth in the labour ward and want me to go to the midwife led bit. I’m not too happy about this. You can apparently transfer between the two but I’d rather know I can get pain relief straight up.
