I had the not being able to drop off at that point op. I was also waking at 5am every bloody day.

Now 14 weeks and can fall asleep, but still waking at 5am.

Pregnancy insomnia is awful. I'm exhausted all the time. You have my sympathy💐

I can fall asleep no problem but going through a phase of waking up at about 2.30am and being wide awake for a couple of hours

This is definitely a thing! Most of the advice I found was saying you must be anxious, uncomfortable, need a wee. Not at all, none of the above. Just wide awake at 4.30 most days since conception (now at 28 weeks). I do fall asleep well but 6 hours later and I'm awake. Pre pregnancy, I was an excellent sleeper, min 8 hours a night. Hopefully you will adjust and survive OK on less sleep too xx

I've been quite anxious think that could also not be helping feel like my head is going to explode with worry going to be a long day lol x

I've had insomnia from 15wks til now (currently 38). I often drop off, wake up at 3am, wide awake, then drop into a deep sleep about 5.30 before my alarm goes off at 6.15 which drags me out of slumber! The nights I sleep through, I could weep with happiness! I'm not waking through worry, anxiousness etc, think it's just a weird pregnancy thing! Confused

Yep I had dreadful insomnia but was so tired I could sleep for England in the afternoons (not that I had much chance to with working Grin) I took full advantage at weekends! I tried Lush's sleepy lotion which did help a bit - good luck OP

Ugh I am a restless sleeper at the best of times and at 9 wks pregnant it's getting worse! Definitely the stressing for hours over how tired I'll be the next day is one of the things annoyingly keeping me awake! Sometimes hypnotherapy can work well, if you put it into a YouTube search there are loads of online tracks. Can help with the racing 2am mind
