Strange question, but...

Are my nipples likely to return to their pre-pregnancy size/colour, if I breastfeed (something I 100% aim to do)? 24 y/o FTM, by the way. I've always been small-chested so never cared much for my bust as, well, there wasn't much to see... but the enlargement and darkening of my areolas and slight enlargement of my breasts (resulting in them dropping slightly - they were perkier before), has suddenly brought this area of my body to my attention. One breast (and its areola) has enlarged more than the other, causing that breast to 'hang' slightly further down than the other. It's not that it bothers me, so to speak - my partner and I find it quite amusing - it's just that it's a definite change from my old breasts, which I never paid any attention to. I assume that the breast enlargement/slight mum 'hang' will likely be permanent (especially as I plan to breastfeed), but it's the areolas I'm interested in. I'm sure that by the time baby arrives, none of this will matter - I'm just curious!

Mine went completely back to normal. Nipples change a lot during pregnancy and breastfeeding but don’t worry

Mine went from tiny to ginormous, and then when I stopped breastfeeding they went back to their original size for a bit and now are even smaller Sad my nipples are the same as the always were. Although small they did feel particularly empty and saggy for a good while after breastfeeding, but they aren't as much now, they feel normal. I'm 36 btw, so no spring chicken lol

I had pale areolas and flat nipples pre-DS. I tried breastfeeding but couldn't do it for various reasons so only last about a week. Despite that, my nipples stick out now and the areolas are slightly darker. Tbh, I prefer my post DS boobs! They're bigger, but they weren't small to begin with so overal I'm happier now. Hope that doesn't change after this pregnancy!

Mine did, once I stopped breastfeeding.

Mine got bigger and darker in pregnancy (both areola and nipple) and the nipple got longer with breastfeeding. I stopped breastfeeding about 3 months ago and they have returned to normal size and colour now.

Though they are about to get darker again, as I've just had a faint bfp Shock be careful when you stop feeding! Fertility boost!

Mine are stretched since bf (dd was a horrid, horrid, bitey feeder) but have thankfully gone back to being their normal colour. I think it depends on the child's feeding style and how long you feed for.
