oh lordy, i knew i was big, but apparently i am measuring term already (at 29+3) (gulp)

am 29 weeks but measuring 39 weeks

have a consultant appt next week (ds1's bday - boo)

what should i expect? scan?

If your fed up of being pg then maybe you could just think that maybe your actually 39weeks!

I'd guess scan and glucose tolerance test (for gestational diabetes).

Fingers crossed it just turns out to be lots of fluid for baby to bounce around in .

yes, have to have bloods taken beforehand (post-prandial, i think she called it?) - to rule out gest diabetes i assume

Actually, did they tell you not to eat anything for several hours before your appointment (usually around 12hrs), as if they want to do GTT then this is normal. Might be worth asking them beforehand if they haven't mentioned it.

lulu, let's hope so - that would also help explain my all-too-rapid weight gain

CSWS - they've given me a very precise list of what i have to eat 2hrs before the test (75g of carbs from a list of eg muesli, fruit, bread etc)
