Can I ask.... without judgement....

Does anyone else worry that they are getting big too quickly!?

I'm 25 weeks and feel like I'm big bump.... and weight is going up quickly! Iv always been small framed and usually only weigh about 8.5- 9stone.

I cant help but feel I'm just piling on the pounds and I still have like 14 weeks to go!!

I look at other women's bumps and they all seem to look tiny 😑

Some days yes and some days no! I know it’s hard (and I need to take this advice myself) but don’t compare, everyone carries differently. As long as your baby is growing well and you’re healthy that’s what matters.

I found going to pregnancy yoga classes reassuring, we usually do introductions and say how many weeks we are which gave me better perspective on how different bumps look. It’s not often you see that many pregnant women in one place!

Yes! I am 32 weeks and have felt big from the beginning of the 2nd trimester. I am all bump and it's sticking right out in front so I think that can make it look further along. I've consistently measured 2 weeks ahead for the last few months so nothing to worry about particularly.

At our antenatal classes we all went round saying when we were due and it's amazing to see the differences in size and shape with similar due dates. Nothing to worry about :)

21 weeks, make you feel better?

Baby’s predicted to be 12lb so probably is on the large side Grin

25wks and feeling massive! I don't feel too bad in the morning but every time I eat it expands and sticks out loads by the end of the day. Also jealous of smaller bumps!

Thank you everyone for your reply's.

I haven't done any classes or really told many people I'm pregnant (didn't advertise on Facebook) just close friends and family know.

Haven't lived in the area for long so don't feel comfortable doing classes yet. Even swimming I wanted to do, but as I don't feel confident, i haven't been once 😐

24 weeks here (DC2) with a very very obvious bump, and I was the same with DD as well, although maybe a bit smaller at this stage. Bumps are usually bigger at night.

I'm short (5'3) and thin (was 7st when first pregnant with DD, probably about 8.5st at the start of this one) which I think makes it look bigger as well!

Depends on your pelvis shape really and how you carry, not just baby size, so don’t worry too much. I get massive really quickly, but also make big babies

CremeDeSudo · 28/03/2018 10:56

I was big with DS too. I got big quickly then sort of plateaued for a while (am still waiting for the plateau this time!). I was referred for a growth at 30something weeks because I was measuring big (basically I'd just gotten really fat Sad)and they told me they estimated he'd be around 8lb. He was born at 39+1 and was 7lb8!

I'm 24 weeks (with my first) and people keep assuming I'm further along than I am - they're really surprised when I say I'm not due until July. I find it really strangely embarrassing - like I'm doing something wrong, or deliberately misleading them! I'm tall and wasn't small before being pregnant (I was right at the top of my healthy weight, which at my height made me a 14), so I'm not a classic 'well of course she's all bump' candidate either. I guess we're all different!

I put on a lot more than I expected to early on as well, I didn't have morning sickness, I stress ate because there was a high chance of miscarriage, and 2 prescriptions I take had to be changed and both affect my metabolism.

My weight gain thankfully stabilized in the 3rd trimester.

I keep my focus on my phone or a book when
I'm around other pregnant women because comparing myself isn't going to make me feel any better.
