My dates and early scan do not match ! Help please

Hi all first post on here . I had my last menstraul period on 1st Feb .

Positive pregnancy test on 2nd march .

Possible dates conception are 14th 17th and 19th Feb . I worked out that my dates would be 7+2 on 24th march which is the day I booked my early scan.

At the scan the sonographer told me she thinks I am around 5 weeks plus ... but no definite date . I have a rescan in two weeks time.

I am so so worried that something is wrong and that maybe the baby stopped growing or it is a missed miscarriage .. I am so anxious and absolutely terrified that something isn't right .

I have sore boobs still and have had nausea start this week. No cramps no bleeding .

I just can't figure out how these dates can be possible .

Please someone shed some light .. I am driving myself mad here 😭

14th Feb (earliest conception date you give) to 24th march is 5 1/2 weeks?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but the date of your last period is only used as a rough guess if you don't know when you conceived.

I have just had an eat scan
Lmp 2 feb only had sex 10 feb and the dates she gave me were out too
I don’t know what to make of it either tbh

fidgety31 how many weeks were your dates out according to scan ?

I thought they measured from conception date but so many people tell me sonographer works from the last period date ... so confusing :/

Hi Op congratulations on your pregnancy, sometimes they get it wrong with my first dc I was given a date in late October and my dc was born in December, as you get further along they will be more accurate

My date according to me is 7+4
She measured me at 7
But I only had sex once and her date would mean the sperm were waiting for over a week so it jus isn’t possible

@Fidgety31 it's more likely you ovulated early

They measure from first day of last period, you’re right. So the day you conceive is counted as two weeks.

Ok my last period was 2 feb in a normally 26 day Cycle
I only had sex on 10 th feb

Can anyone work out for me ?? I have that as 7+4
If it is only 7+0 then how could it have been conceived ?

That's what I thought dragons and cakes .. which means I can't be 5 weeks :( not sure what this means just an agonising wait worrying that everything is ok

Don’t worry about it until you have too. My scan dated me over a week ahead of what I thought I was. It’s not an exact science.
