Has anyone else got one
Does it affect pregnancy ?

I just had an early 7 week scan and I have a fibroid
It was a private scan so she didn’t say much about it

Congratulations!
I hope you don't mind me jumping on this post. Would like to follow. I don't have any advise. But I do have fibroids and am interested in finding out how this had affected others

I was told I had one during my caesarean (breech baby). Had no idea beforehand. Didn't cause any complications for me.

Ive has one through two pregnancies without a problem but it depends on size and location. You need the particulars of yours checking.

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and due to the location and size of mine have just been told it looks as if I will have to have a c-section at 39 weeks. I was scanned on Monday and I'm to be rescanned at 36 weeks to check if that is the case or whether it might have moved. It's currently blocking my cervix so baby wouldn't be able to exit vaginally.

I am not pregnant but diagnosed with a 4cm fibroid middle of last year so have done a bit of research.

They are linked to low Vit D levels, so a simple and safe thing you could try to do is gt some more sunshine everyday.

Raspberry leaf tea can help as well, which can be taken at 28 weeks, but not at 7 weeks (can cause miscarriage in early pregnancy)

Somebody I was friends with years ago did. She had the baby, there were complications during labour and she had to have a c section and hysterectomy, but baby and mother were ok. Hers was large, the size of a cantaloupe.

I have fibroids (3-4, not large). I had some degeneration (google 'red degeneration') around 20 or so weeks during my first pregnancy which was very painful and knocked me out for about a week. Although it was pretty nasty, it didn't have an impact on my pregnancy. I also had to have a managed third stage of labour, so I had an injection to delver the placenta which was no bother at all.

I'm currently 34 weeks with DC2 and have had no degeneration this time, which is a massive relief!
