Leicester area?

Hi, was hoping someone around the Leicester area could advise?

I went for my booking in appt on 19th March and am currently still waiting for my scan date (feels so long!) and wondered where you had your scan done? Was it at the hospital you chose to give birth at? I chose the General but not sure if the scan will be there or not? Also how long did you wait to receive a letter for the date for the scan after the booking in appt? Midwife was a stand in at the first appt and pretty useless tbh.

TIA! Smile

Hi, I'm in Leicester. I had my booking in appointment at 8+2 and my scan came through pretty quickly for 12 weeks exactly

I chose the Royal rather than the General so maybe they are a bit slower there? I'd give them a call in case your referral has gone AWOL

Hi I had my booking in appointment at about 7 weeks and got my scan appointment letter through couple of weeks later for when I was 12 weeks for the general xx

Thank you for your replies, I guess I am just being impatient! Haha. And with it being the bank holiday this weekend I'm guessing I wont get a letter until next week.
I was 8+1 at my booking in and I'll be 10 weeks on Sunday so still have a few weeks until the cut off point.

Hi I had both babies at the General and found it great. Easier to park than the Royal too!

I had to go to a consultant clinic from the start so can't remember how the scan letters came, I can't see that it would hurt to call the maternity unit in a few days and see if you're in the system. Had scans there apart from one special heart scan for the babies that they had to do at the Royal.

Good luck with everything and congratulations.

Having all care at the general. Had booking in at almost 9 weeks, got my appointment letter at 11 weeks for 5 days after the letter, so was just under 12 weeks.

I've been consultant led and so far can't fault the care. I used the lri in my first pregnancy and the general is far quieter, smaller and so far care has been better.

Give them a ring if you don't have letter after bank holiday, they are really nice.

I have heard a lot better things about the General rather than the LRI. My sister also had my nephew there but hers went a little wrong, having to have an emergency C-Section in the end, but they were very good.

I will definitely give them a call if I haven't heard after the weekend Smile
