Any HG sufferers who have taken steroids?

My doctor has just started me on a course of prednisolone to try and ease my HG symptoms. I’m on 5mg 3 times a day and I can up it to a max of 25mg if needs be. Has anyone taken these? How quickly do they work and are they helpful? I’ve had two tablets so far. The list of side effects is pretty scary.

I was on prednisolone for the first 16 weeks of pregnancy as I have an autoimmune condition that was causing recurrent mcs. The pred made me really hungry but I had no pregnancy symptoms whatsoever so that was brilliant! I'm 38 weeks now and baby looks perfect, no lasting effects from the pred.

Sorry meant to say I was on 25mg until 12 weeks then tapered off by 5mg every 5 days.

Yes I took them but stopped before the end of the first trimester as they made no difference to me; nothing did. Only giving birth got rid of it!! Sorry, it's properly shit

Thanks for the replies. I really hope they work for me. It’s rubbish feeling like this.
